Two members of a thriving three-person writing group about race discuss their experiences in what has become a vibrant, generative space of dialogic encounter. They elaborate on the ways they brought work to this space of intersubjective investigation in the spirit of Rankine et al.’s (2016) Racial Imaginary project.

This exhibition 'And Apollo' brings together the work of 7 artist… based in New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and the Bay Area. They approach take care as a space informed by an expanded sense of community rooted in poetics, as a stewardship platform for artists based outside of Los Angeles or underrepresented in public discourse, and inflect an urgent tender sense to their work.
